KinderGarten Playground
On March 6, 2025, Salchi Community Relations Committee delivered a new play structure to the Kindergarten in Cuatunalco. This was funded by Kindergarten fundraising, matching contribution from Contigo and a generous individual donation made in the name of Teressa Loeb.

Our History
Contigo was started by a group of homeowners in Salchi Bay, a community in southern Mexico. The organization is run completely by volunteers and 100% of donations go to the cause.

Prior to 2004, there were only primary schools in the area and children rarely attended school past grade 5. In 2004, Yesinia started a secondary school in Cuatunalco . She taught outside under the shade of a tree. When asked to draw a picture of their school, they drew a tree.
After helping to build a secondary school we continued to fun

After helping to build a secondary school we continued to fundraise in order to encourage students to continue their studies at the high school in Pochutla as well as university. Local schools have also requested our assistance with other projects

Our Mission
CONTIGO was formed as a charitable, non profit organization in order to raise money and resources to assist with local development projects benefiting the communities of Cuatunalco, Las Palmas, Toueca, and El Coyote, villages all located in the area of San Pedro Pochutla, in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico.
