Mission Statement

CONTIGO was formed as a charitable, non profit organization in order to raise money
and resources to assist with local development projects benefiting the communities of
Cuatunalco, Las Palmas, Toueca, and El Coyote, villages all located in the area of San
Pedro Pochutla, in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Our focus is on community and educational development. Since its inception in 2007, several projects have been implemented. The construction of a secondary school has enabled the children of the entire area to continue their education past the elementary level.

Scholarships to help with transportation to distant high schools have encouraged the students to continue their studies.

Bursaries awarded to help with books and supplies for graduating students continuing on to university are available to those maintaining a good average.

There are many issues to address and ny raising resources we have the oppurtunity to help. Never do you realize more that the basic right to education in our world is taken for granted, when your eyes are opened to such communities with so many stumbling blocks. Fortunately with help from others we are able to make a difference.

There has been a positive change in the whole community and we have made a commitment to maintain and encourage that growth.
